Marilyn Cain, 91, formerly of Plainwell, passed away on Nov. 11, 2018.
Born Dec. 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Lewis and Florence Barkley, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald (Jake) Cain.
Marilyn attended Nazareth College for one year, in Kalamazoo. She worked as a bookkeeper and often volunteered at the library. She liked knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre. Most of all she loved her family, and loved traveling to visit family and friends.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenneth (Kathryn) of Newaygo and Donald (Helen) of Brisbane, Australia; grandchildren, Dylan (Rebecca), Daniella (Jack), David, Steven (Molly) and Julie (Gustavo); great-grandchildren, Isaac, Lola, Patrick, Hannah, Margaret and Alexandria; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Marilyn was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.
The service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be Sunday, Dec. 2, at Newaygo United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. with a viewing at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or Fountain View of Grant.
