Clifford Dean Henckel, of Coalmont, Tenn., born May 21, 1939, cherished husband, father, son and friend; born and raised in Plainwell, passed away on Feb. 1, 2019, after several years battling Alzheimer's/Dementia.
He was known by many as Cliff, and many more as “Moose.”
His parents Romaine and Reva Henckel and his older brother Russ Henckel preceded him in death.
Cliff married his first wife Lavonne (Timmerman) Counterman, and together for 30 years they raised a family of three children, Eric, Julie and Tammy Henckel, all based in Michigan.
Cliff later married his second wife Melody (Lanz) Henckel of Martin and they were together for 30 years.
Cliff has three surviving siblings, Dave, Rosie and Bob, all living in Florida. He has five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at the Plainwell Community Center, 798 E. Bridge St., Plainwell, MI 49080, on March 23, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., with a eulogy service at 2 p.m.
